PARAMEDICAL STUDENTS HIGHLIGHT ADR REPORTING at PHARMACOVIGILANCE WEEK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Department of Pharmacology<\/strong> at <strong>SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly<\/strong> in collaboration with <strong>SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly<\/strong> observed <strong>5<sup>th<\/sup> National<\/strong> <strong>Pharmacovigilance Week <\/strong>with a <strong>Chart Display activity<\/strong> on the importance of pharmacovigilance in clinical practice, <strong>Drug Safety Monitoring <\/strong>&amp; <strong>Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) Reporting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by <strong>ADR Monitoring Centre <\/strong>at<strong> IMS<\/strong> under the aegis of <strong>Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), IPC<\/strong>, Ministry of Health &amp; Family Welfare, Government of India, Ghaziabad, the event was held under the guidance of <strong>Dr Meenakshi Jindal<\/strong> (Professor &amp; Head, Pharmacology &amp; AMC Coordinator) &amp; <strong>Dr Jasbir Singh<\/strong> (Deputy Coordinator, Pharmacovigilance Committee). \u00a0<strong>Medical <\/strong>&amp; <strong>paramedical students<\/strong> showcased charts on ADRs such as giddiness, depression, thyroid disorders, nausea, and vomiting, emphasizing timely detection and reporting as cornerstones of pharmacovigilance for patient safety and rational drug use.<\/p>\n<p>The event was graced by <strong>Dr MS Butola<\/strong> (Principal IMS); <strong>Dr Vandana Negi<\/strong> (Professor &amp; Head, Department of Paediatrics); <strong>Dr Shashi Bala Arya<\/strong> (Professor &amp; Head, Department of Obstetrics &amp; Gynaecology); <strong>Dr Bindu Garg<\/strong> (Dean UG);
