{"id":17949,"date":"2026-02-23T10:02:49","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T10:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/cet\/?p=17949"},"modified":"2026-02-23T10:02:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T10:02:49","slug":"srms-engineering-college-empowers-students-with-practical-3d-prining-skills-through-2-day-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/cet\/srms-engineering-college-empowers-students-with-practical-3d-prining-skills-through-2-day-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE EMPOWERS STUDENTS WITH PRACTICAL 3D PRINING SKILLS THROUGH 2-DAY WORKSHOP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bridging theory with practical know-how, the <strong>Department of Mechanical Engineering<\/strong> at <strong>SRMS College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bareilly <\/strong> organized a two-day hands-on workshop on <strong>\u201cIntroduction to 3D Printing\u201d<\/strong> with an aim to provide practical exposure to 3D printing, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical learning.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop, held under <strong>Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC),<\/strong> was coordinated by the faculty of ME Department, <strong>Dr Saty Dev<\/strong> and <strong>Dr Pushpendra Yadav, <\/strong> under the guidance of<strong> Dr Pradeep Kumar <\/strong> and <strong>Dr Ashish Kumar, <\/strong> in the presence of <strong> Dr Ravindra Kumar, <\/strong> HOD, ME Department. The workshop that saw active participation of 68 students, began with an address by <strong>Prof (Dr) Prabhakar Gupta<\/strong>, Principal, CET, who highlighted the importance of emerging technologies like 3D Printing in modern industries and Industry 4.0. Dr Satya Dev then shared insights on Industrial Revolution and the evolution of 3D Printing Industry that helped students gain practical exposure during hands-on sessions on CAD modeling in the Tinkering Lab, focusing on principles and applications of 3D printing systems in the CAD labs.
