At SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly,<\/strong> the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC),<\/strong> in collaboration with the Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC),<\/strong> hosted a deeply engaging guest lecture on \u201cChallenges Faced by Women in the Modern World.\u201d<\/p>\n The session was led by Ruchie Sah,<\/strong> Assistant Professor, Department of Basic Sciences, SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), who brought honesty, clarity, and real perspective into the room.<\/p>\n Graced by the presence of Dr Prabhakar Gupta <\/strong>(Principal, CET), Dr Ritu Singh<\/strong> (Vice Principal, CET & Event Coordinator), Dr Saurabh Gupta<\/strong> (DSW, CET) and Dipali Gupta <\/strong>(Deputy DSW, CET), the session saw active participation from around 190 attendees<\/strong>. From gender equity and societal expectations to workplace realities like the glass ceiling, pay gaps, and work-life balance, the discussion didn\u2019t shy away from the uncomfortable truths. It also touched upon mental health, imposter syndrome, and the importance of building confidence in spaces that often feel unequal.<\/p>\n The highlight? An open, honest Q&A <\/strong>where students spoke, questioned, and reflected on online safety, leadership, and how each one of us can be a better ally. With real stories, relatable examples, and meaningful dialogue, the session wasn\u2019t just another lecture, it was a conversation that sparked awareness, empathy, and the intent to bring change.<\/strong><\/p>\n
