{"id":20371,"date":"2026-09-17T03:01:24","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T03:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/cet\/?p=20371"},"modified":"2026-09-17T03:01:24","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T03:01:24","slug":"from-circuits-to-movement-srms-engineering-students-get-hands-on-with-robotics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/cet\/from-circuits-to-movement-srms-engineering-students-get-hands-on-with-robotics\/","title":{"rendered":"FROM CIRCUITS TO MOVEMENT: SRMS ENGINEERING STUDENTS GET HANDS-ON WITH ROBOTICS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Robotics becomes a lot more exciting when you stop watching it and start <strong>building it yourself\u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly what students experienced at the <strong>Hands-on Training on Line Follower &amp; Multi-functional Robot<\/strong>, organized by <strong>Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Robotrax Club, SRMS College of Engineering &amp; Technology (CET), Bareilly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The session brought together around <strong>70 students and 10 faculty members<\/strong> from ECE, Engineering, AI\/ML and M Tech ECE, giving participants an opportunity to explore robotics beyond the classroom. Led by <strong>Dr Sovan Mohanty, HOD, ECE<\/strong>, the session introduced students to <strong>sensors and robotics<\/strong>, along with the fundamentals of embedded systems and robotic movement. Students got practical exposure to the <strong>design, assembly and programming of a line follower robot<\/strong>, working with platforms including <strong>Arduino, ESP8266 and ESP32<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>What made the session particularly engaging was its <strong>hands-on, collaborative and peer-to-peer approach<\/strong>, allowing beginners as well as robotics enthusiasts to learn by doing, experimenting and understanding how sensors, controllers and movement work together. The training was followed by <strong>QUIZBOT-I<\/strong>, conducted by the <strong>Robotrax Club<\/strong>, putting students\u2019 understanding and quick thinking to the test.
