The department has achieved several milestones in the field reassuring blood safety and negligible risks of transfusion. The department after postgraduate course (MD) in Immunohematology and blood transfusion Facility in the department are:-<\/p><ul><li>Blood Donation, Donor Counseling and Recruitment<\/li><li>Blood component facility: Leucoreduced\/leucodepleted Concentrated Red Cells, Concentrated Red Cells, Leucoreduced Platelet Concentrate, Fresh Frozen Plasma, Cryoprecipitate , Cryo poor Plasma<\/li><li>Screening of donated blood for Transfusion transmissible infections: by Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) and Nucleic Acid Amplification Technology (NAT).<\/li><li>Immunohematology ( Donor and patient sample testing with fully automated immune-hematology analyzer)<\/li><\/ul><p>- Red cell antigen typing for major blood group antigen(ABO &amp; Rh-D)<br \/>- Red cell antigen typing for minor blood group antigens<br \/>- Antibody screening ( 3 cell panel): by Solid phase red cell adherence (SPRCA) technology<br \/>- Antibody identification of clinically significant allo-antibodies against minor blood group antigens: using SPRCA technology and liquid cell panels<br \/>- Weak D typing - Advanced workup for antenatal cases, Hemolytic disease of the fetus and
