{"id":10829,"date":"2026-07-16T09:43:03","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T09:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/?p=10829"},"modified":"2026-07-16T09:43:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T09:43:03","slug":"genitourinary-pathology-update-2025-at-srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-a-power-packed-confluence-of-diagnostics-dialogue-discovery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/genitourinary-pathology-update-2025-at-srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-a-power-packed-confluence-of-diagnostics-dialogue-discovery\/","title":{"rendered":"GENITOURINARY PATHOLOGY UPDATE 2025 AT SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES: A POWER-PACKED CONFLUENCE OF DIAGNOSTICS, DIALOGUE &#038; DISCOVERY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Pioneering Precision in Pathology for Better Patient Care<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Department of Pathology, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly<\/strong>, hosted the <strong>Genitourinary Pathology Update 2025<\/strong>\u2014a comprehensive 2-day <strong>CME cum Workshop<\/strong> spotlighting diagnostic excellence and cutting-edge updates in genitourinary pathology.<\/p>\n<p>Inaugurated by <strong>Shri Dev Murti<\/strong>, Chairman, SRMS Trust, along with <strong>Aditya Murti<\/strong>, Director Administration, the event was graced by eminent guests speakers including <strong>Prof (Dr) Santosh Menon<\/strong> (TMC Mumbai); <strong>Prof (Dr) Gurudutt Gupta<\/strong> (RGCIRC, Delhi); <strong>Prof Dr Swapnil Rane<\/strong> (TMC, Mumbai); <strong>Prof Dr Meenakshi<\/strong> (RGCIRC, Delhi); <strong>Prof Dr Subhash Yadav<\/strong> (TMC, Mumbai), in the presence of <strong>Dr MS Butola<\/strong> (Principal, IMS), <strong>Dr RP Singh<\/strong> (MS), Organizing Chairperson &amp; Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, <strong>Dr Tanu Agrawal<\/strong>, and Organizing Secretary <strong>Dr Surabhi Pandey<\/strong>. In his inaugural address, Shri Dev Murti emphasized, \u201cModern medical science enables better patient care only when diagnosis is accurate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scientific sessions were divided into two tracks\u2014<strong>Bladder &amp; Prostate<\/strong> and <strong>Kidney &amp; Testis<\/strong>. Highlights included <strong>Dr Subhash Yadav<\/strong> on specimen examination, prostate cancer mimics, and kidney tumor classification; <strong>Dr Swapnil Rane<\/strong> on bladder cancer diagnostics and IHC use in resolving complex cases; <strong>Dr Meenakshi Kamboj <\/strong>on updated prostate cancer grading; <strong>Dr Santosh Menon<\/strong> on kidney cancer and the importance of CMEs for PG students; and <strong>Dr Gurudutt Gupta<\/strong> on molecular tests in bladder cancer, testicular tumors, and SRMS IMS\u2019s contribution to public welfare and academic enrichment.<\/p>\n<p>A dynamic <strong>slide-viewing workshop<\/strong>, <strong>interactive expert sessions<\/strong>, and <strong>poster and oral presentations<\/strong> elevated the learning experience.
