{"id":11011,"date":"2026-07-18T10:25:35","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T10:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/?p=11011"},"modified":"2026-07-18T10:25:35","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T10:25:35","slug":"srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-hosts-pharmacovigilance-training-workshop-on-adr-awareness-career-pathways","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-hosts-pharmacovigilance-training-workshop-on-adr-awareness-career-pathways\/","title":{"rendered":"SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES\u2019 HOSTS PHARMACOVIGILANCE TRAINING WORKSHOP ON ADR AWARENESS &#038; CAREER PATHWAYS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Department of Pharmacology, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>SRMS College of Engineering &amp; Technology (CET Pharmacy),<\/strong> organized a one-day <strong>Pharmacovigilance Training Workshop<\/strong> under the aegis of NCC: National Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), IPC, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Ghaziabad.<\/p>\n<p>Held under the guidance of <strong>Dr Meenakshi Jindal<\/strong>, Professor &amp; Head, Pharmacology &amp; AMC Coordinator, and <strong>Dr Amit Kumar Sharma<\/strong>, Dean of Pharmacy, the event was conducted by <strong>Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC)<\/strong> at IMS. Students were sensitized to the importance of detecting and reporting <strong>ADRs<\/strong> for patient safety and rational drug use. They were also briefed on career avenues such as Pharmacovigilance Associate\/Manager, Data &amp; Clinical Research Analyst in hospitals and WHO, Drug Safety Officer etc.<\/p>\n<p>Sessions by <strong>Dr Meenakshi Jindal<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Dr Sanjay Kumar<\/strong> (Assistant Professor, Pharmacology) covered AMC operations, ADR Form 1.4, consumer forms &amp; Causality Assessment. A post-test assessed learning, followed by an ADR collection activity.
