This year\u2019s drive inspired many new pledges, reinforcing the noble message of the <em>Gift of Sight<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by <strong>Department of Ophthalmology<\/strong> with the <strong>Cornea Transplant Centre &amp; Eye Bank<\/strong>, the courtroom-style event let junior and senior residents present cases before an expert jury. The programme was inaugurated by <strong>Shri Dev Murti<\/strong>, Chairman SRMS Trust, and <strong>Aditya Murti<\/strong>, Director Administration, in the presence of <strong>Dr MS Butola, <\/strong>Principal IMS<strong>; Dr RP Singh, <\/strong>MS<strong>; Dr Rohit Sharma, <\/strong>Dean PG<strong>; Dr Piyush Agarwal, <\/strong>Director, RR Cancer Institute, among others It was anchored by <strong>Dr Neelima Mehrotra<\/strong>, Professor &amp; Head, Ophthalmology with a special session on corneal donation by Professor <strong>Dr Shipra Tripathi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event saw four spirited teams, <strong>Avengers, Fantastic4, Guardians of the Galaxy <\/strong>&amp; <strong>X-Men <\/strong>that battled it out with sharp 4-minute case presentations with cross-questions from the jury and mentors. <strong>Team Fantastic<\/strong>, mentored by <strong>Dr Anil Negi, Dr Sanjay Gupta, and Dr Harshit Agarwal<\/strong>, emerged champions, felicitated by Shri Dev Murti.<\/p>\n<p>The fortnight also featured <strong>eye donation awareness camps<\/strong> in <em>Pahaladpur, Amberpur, and Naun Nangla<\/em>, along with <strong>Family Adoption Screening Camps<\/strong> and <strong>school outreach programmes<\/strong> educating children on corneal donation.
