And talking about it is where change begins\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At <strong>SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences<\/strong> <strong>(IMS), Bareilly<\/strong>, the <strong>World Bipolar Day<\/strong> wasn\u2019t just observed, it was <em>felt<\/em>. The <strong>Department of Psychiatry<\/strong> brought together students, doctors, and faculty for a day dedicated to breaking stigma and building real awareness around mental health.<\/p>\n<p>The session opened with traditional lamp lighting by <strong>Aditya Murti<\/strong> (Secretary, SRMS Trust) in the presence of faculties &amp; doctors of <strong>Department of Psychiatry<\/strong> including <strong>Prof Dr PK Pardal<\/strong> (HOD), <strong>Prof Dr Deepak Charan, Dr Shikha Agarwal<\/strong>, <strong>Dr Supriya D\u2019Silva <\/strong>and <strong>Dr Rupali Rohatgi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The session kicked-off with an inspiring address by <strong>Prof Dr PK Pardal<\/strong> and <strong>Aditya Murti,<\/strong> reminding everyone why mental health conversations can no longer wait. It was attended by <strong>Dr MS Butola<\/strong> (Principal, IMS), <strong>Dr RP Singh<\/strong> (MS), <strong>Dr CM Chaturvedi<\/strong> (Deputy MS), <strong>Dr Rohit Sharma <\/strong>(Dean PG),<strong> Dr Bindu Garg<\/strong> (Dean UG), <strong>Dr Rajeev Tandon<\/strong> (Chief Proctor), <strong>Dr Kranthi Kumar <\/strong>(DSW) etc. A moving <strong>Nukkad Natak by MBBS students<\/strong> delivered a simple yet strong message \u2018<em>seeking help is strength, not weaknesses.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The day carried forward with a <strong>poster-making competition<\/strong> on <em>\u201cPsychiatry: Beyond Myths and Misconceptions\u201d<\/em> and an engaging <strong>quiz on General Psychiatry<\/strong>, where students didn\u2019t just compete; they learned, questioned, and reflected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winners who made their mark:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Poster Competition:<\/strong> Akriti (Batch 2023), Krishna Gupta (2025), Shubhneet Kaur (2024)<br \/>\n<strong>Quiz Winners:<\/strong> Ali Mohammad Khan &amp; Angad Sidana (2024)<br \/>\n<strong>1st Runners-up:<\/strong> Rachit Arora &amp; Anshita Dhingra (2023)<br \/>\n<strong>2nd Runners-up:<\/strong> Garv Gupta &amp; Kushagra Sangvi (2024)<br \/>\n<strong>3rd Place:<\/strong> Shubham Gupta &amp; Aryan Kansal (2024)<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/embed\/cMc3Wxo43qE\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mental health matters.
