{"id":11403,"date":"2026-07-24T08:19:33","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T08:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/?p=11403"},"modified":"2026-07-24T08:19:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T08:19:33","slug":"from-textbooks-to-tomorrows-treatments-srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-hosts-national-cme-on-clinical-embryology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/srms.ac.in\/ims\/from-textbooks-to-tomorrows-treatments-srms-institute-of-medical-sciences-hosts-national-cme-on-clinical-embryology\/","title":{"rendered":"FROM TEXTBOOKS TO TOMORROW&#8217;S TREATMENTS: SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES\u2019 HOSTS NATIONAL CME ON CLINICAL EMBRYOLOGY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>How do classroom concepts become life-changing clinical breakthroughs! <\/em> Answering this, the <strong>Department of Anatomy, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly<\/strong> successfully hosted a <strong>National CME on &#8220;Clinical Embryology: From Textbook to Test Tubes \u2013 Bridging the Gap Between Basic Science and Clinical Practice,&#8221;<\/strong> bringing together <strong>200+ delegates<\/strong> from across India and overseas through both offline &amp; online participation.<\/p>\n<p>The CME was inaugurated by <strong>Shri Dev Murti (Founder &amp; Chairman, SRMS Trust)<\/strong> in the presence of <strong>Aditya Murti (Director Administration, SRMS IMS), Er Subhash Mehra (Trust Advisor), Dr MS Butola (Principal, SRMS IMS)<\/strong> and legendary anatomist <strong>Dr Vishram Singh (Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Anatomical Society of India &amp; Adjunct Visiting Professor, KMC, Mangalore)<\/strong>. Eminent speakers included <strong>Dr Kaushik Mandal, Dr Pragya Tripathi, Dr Anju Lata Verma, Dr Yatinder Verma<\/strong>, while renowned anatomy educator <strong>Dr Ashwani (Marrow)<\/strong> graced the occasion as the <strong>Star Guest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Scientific deliberations focused on <strong>the rising incidence of congenital anomalies and malformations, prenatal diagnosis, clinical embryology beyond textbooks, and the fascinating journey from gamete to birth.<\/strong> A truly memorable moment was the <strong>felicitation of 12 living body donors<\/strong> by <strong>Shri Dev Murti<\/strong>, honouring their selfless contribution to medical education.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming the delegates, <strong>Dr Namita Mehrotra (Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy, SRMSIMS)<\/strong> highlighted the importance of integrating embryology with clinical practice to strengthen patient care and medical education. Accredited with <strong>3 Credit Hours by UP Medical Council<\/strong>, the CME concluded with scientific paper and poster presentations, where <strong>Adya Jha, Tulsi Gupta, and Priyanshi (MBBS Batch 2025)<\/strong> received the <strong>Best Presenter Awards<\/strong>.
