SOME JUST NEED THE RIGHT TEAM: SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES BEAT THE ODDS WITHOUT OPEN-HEART SURGERY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At <strong>SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly<\/strong> advanced heart care is giving high-risk patients a safer second chance at life. Recently, two elderly patients (78 &amp; 80 years) with severe <strong>aortic stenosis<\/strong>, both considered unfit for open-heart surgery, were successfully treated through <strong>TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation)<\/strong>, a minimally invasive procedure that replaces the heart valve without opening the chest.<\/p>\n<p>Successfully performed by our<strong> Interventional Cardiologists, Dr Amit Varshney &amp; Dr Deepesh Agarwal, the <\/strong> <em><strong>TAVI<\/strong><\/em><em> has transformed care for elderly and high-risk patients by offering a safer, minimally invasive alternative with faster recovery and renewed hope.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Talking about the case, one patient arrived with severe breathlessness and chest pain. The other had undergone previous <strong>CABG<\/strong> with a reduced heart function (<strong>35% EF<\/strong>). Both procedures were successful, enabling faster recovery and an early discharge.
