Departmental Student Activities Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at SRMSCET, Bareilly is committed to the all-round development of students through various academic and co-curricular activities. Two major initiatives that support this vision are considered as Hand Holding Initiatives in Groups and Zero Hour Activities.

To enhance learning outcomes and promote collaborative growth, students are engaged in structured group activities under faculty mentorship. The hand holding initiative provides a platform for students to support each other academically and grow together. Its key features are :

  • Group-based Learning Sessions: Students work together to clarify concepts and solve problems with senior-student and faculty guidance.
  • Mini Projects & Simulations: Hands-on experience using tools like MATLAB, PLC and Arduino.
  • Workshops & Technical Skill Development: Sessions on PLC programming, circuit design, IoT applications, etc.
  • Mentoring for Career & Communication Skills: Focused support in soft skills, resume writing, and interview preparation.

In addition to this, Zero Hour activity is effectively utilized to engage students in constructive, skill-enhancing, and recreational activities beyond the standard curriculum. These are:

  • Technical Quizzes on core topics like electrical machines, power systems, and electronics
  • Poster Presentations & Model Displays on current trends such as smart grid, electric vehicles, and renewable energy
  • Circuit Analysis to encourage hands-on learning
  • Paper Presentations & Seminars on innovative technologies
  • Indoor Games: Chess, carom, memory games
  • Outdoor Games: Volleyball, team-building sports, and relay races
  • Group Discussions & Debates: Focused on technical and general awareness topics
