About the Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology, Bhojipura, Bareilly was established in 1996. Since its inception, the department has grown into a dynamic hub of technical learning, innovation, and practical excellence in core engineering.

Courses Offered
The Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech – ME) is a four-year undergraduate program affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The course provides students with a strong foundation in core subjects such as mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, design, materials, and manufacturing. With extensive hands-on training in workshops, labs, and industry-based projects, students develop analytical, problem-solving, and practical engineering skills that prepare them for careers in diverse industries.

The Master of Technology in Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (M.Tech – CAD & M) is a two-year postgraduate program aimed at developing expertise in advanced design methodologies, manufacturing processes, and automation technologies. The program integrates CAD/CAM tools, robotics, CNC programming, and simulation techniques to prepare students for cutting-edge research and industrial applications in product design and modern manufacturing systems.
