About the Department
“Empowering Pharmacists, Enriching Lives”
Established in the year 2000, the Department of Pharmacy at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly, is dedicated to nurturing competent pharmacy professionals equipped with scientific knowledge, practical skills, and professional values. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the department is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.
Pharmacists, as the “Medicine Experts,” play a vital role in developing life-saving drugs, ensuring the safe use of medicines, and contributing to public health. With this vision, the department combines Outcome-Based Education (OBE), hands-on training, and industry exposure to prepare students for careers in pharmaceutical sciences, research, and healthcare practice.
Courses Offered
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M.) and or Biology (P.C.B. / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
A pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council
of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
- Intake of Seat: 60
Two-year postgraduate program offering advanced knowledge and research opportunities in specialized areas of pharmacy. Candidates must hold a B.Pharm degree from an institution approved by PCI and recognized by a university, with minimum 60% marks.
- Preference is given to GPAT-qualified candidates during admission and Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University PG Admission Test (CUET).
- Non-GPAT candidates are admitted based on merit in qualifying examination.
- The Trust offers a stipend of ₹6000 per month to all M. Pharm students during the first year and ₹7000 per month during the second year, for a period of 10 months each academic year
