About the Program
The Faculty of Computer Applications at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly, offers two flagship programs — Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) — designed to nurture future-ready IT professionals equipped with strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and industry-relevant skills.
The BCA program (3 years, 6 semesters) lays a solid foundation in computer science, programming, and web technologies. Students gain hands-on experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Database Management (MySQL, Oracle), Networking, Operating Systems, and Web Development. Through minor and major projects, seminars, and industrial training, learners develop both technical competence and professional confidence.
The MCA program (2 years, 4 semesters) builds on advanced computing concepts such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, RDBMS, and System Design. The final semester focuses on a major industry project, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges using the latest tools and technologies.
