In an effort to realize its vision of building India as a world leader in professional education and healthcare, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust introduced the SRMS Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for admission in different programs/courses offered by the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust Institutions. Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust has been offering various scholarships to meritorious students. The SRMS Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme of Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust is specifically designed to provide financial support through free professional education to worthy students from the economically weaker sections of the society. The SRMS Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is an endeavor to provide equal educational opportunities to the best minds of India who are somehow reluctant to pursue their education due to a financial crisis.
The students who are admitted under this scheme will execute a bond to serve for the SRMS Trust Institutions’ Research Cell for two years. However, if a student is selected for a higher study, NOC can be obtained to defer the service bond until the completion of the course.
The main objective of the scheme is to impart free professional education to the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society.
Two Seats under this scheme are allocated to Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences, Bareilly.
- Nature of the Scheme: The tuition fee waiver under this scheme is offered by the respective SRMS constituent college and not directly by the SRMS Trust.
- Applicability of the Scheme: The scheme shall be applicable from the Academic Year 2024–25 onwards and shall be open only to candidates who are domiciles of Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand.
- Minimum Programme Strength Requirement: The scholarship shall be applicable only if the enrolled strength of the programme is at least 50% of the approved intake for that academic year.
- Extent of Fee Waiver: Under this scheme, Seventy-five percent (75%) of the tuition fee shall be waived for eligible students.
- Eligibility on Economic Grounds: The scheme shall be applicable only to candidates from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) whose family annual income does not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.
- Merit-Based Selection: The scheme shall be strictly merit-based.
- Exclusion: Not applicable to Lateral Entry.
- Restriction on Multiple Scholarships: No other scholarship allowed; Government scholarship cancels benefit.
- Annual Selection: Decision of SRMS Trust is final.
- Discontinuation: Full fee payment cancels benefit.
- Other Scholarships: As per SRMS Trust rules.
Continuation of the Scheme
- Student enrolled under this scholarship scheme must secure 65% marks without a carryover in every year of the course.
- Student must maintain 85% attendance in every semester/year.
- There should be no disciplinary cases against the student inside or outside the college campus.
Application Process
- Each candidate is required to make separate application for SRMSTFW scheme for each program of the SRMS Trust.
- For continuation of scholarship students need to apply before commencement of new Academic Year, with his/her result of the previous academic year.
- The University will declare a schedule of Admission under this scheme each year.
- The application form should be submitted to the principal office along with necessary documents on or before the date announced by principal office.
Required Documents
- For UG Courses- 10th & 12th Marks Sheet & Certificate.
- For PG Courses- 10th, 12th Marks Sheet & Certificate and UG Mark sheet & degree.
- Domicile Certificate of UP or Uttarakhand.
- Income Certificate less than Rs. 6.0 lakh per annum from Tahsildar/Other competent Authority.
- Other documents required as per affiliating university.
Process by SRMS Trust on Received Applications
- The applications under this scheme will be submitted in the Principal Office of the college.
- The applications will be scrutinized by the committee constituted by the Principal of the college.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview.
- The committee will verify the income certificate of economically weaker students issued by the competent authority.
- Post scrutiny the committee will recommend the students eligible for the scholarship to the principal.
- The committee will prepare a merit list based on qualifying examination marks, score in state level entrance examination and personal interview.
- The decision of the committee regarding the selected candidates under the scholarship scheme shall be final and binding.
