FUELING FUTURE FOUNDERS: SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE HOSTS DYNAMIC BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS WORKSHOP

In a move to spark innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly, recently hosted a high-impact workshop on “Developing Business Model Canvas.” Organized under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at SRMS CET, the workshop aimed to empower students with practical skills in business planning through the globally acclaimed Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework.

Guided by Dr Saurabh Gupta, Dean Student Welfare, and Siddhi Gupta from B Tech (CS), the session offered an immersive learning experience where students were introduced to the art of visualizing, structuring, and innovating business ideas. IIC Coordinator opened the session with a motivating address, leading to an engaging exploration of entrepreneurship.

Participants gained a clear understanding of BMC’s key components—ranging from customer segments to revenue streams—through interactive discussions and relatable startup case studies like Zomato, Paytm, and Airbnb. Students were then divided into collaborative teams, tasked with crafting their own BMCs based on real-world problems. The group presentations that followed reflected impressive creativity, critical thinking, and a solid grasp of startup dynamics—reinforcing the workshop’s core mission: to ignite young minds and prepare them to shape the ventures of tomorrow.
