At Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Engineering Institutions (viz. SRMS College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly and SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research, Bareilly) the placements are not just the end of an academic journey—they are the beginning of a lifelong career voyage. With every handshake between our students and leading recruiters, we celebrate the convergence of preparation, passion, and purpose.

The following clauses will be applicable to all the final year students of B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Pharm., M.Pharm., MBA, and MCA regarding placement during the academic session 2025-26:

1.1 Eligibility

In addition to specific eligibility criteria mentioned in recruiter’s Job Description , student attendance will be the major eligibility criteria for all the on-campus / off-campus / pool-campus placement drives and only those will be allowed to appear who have 75% attendance in their academic classes and Placement Preparation Classes like QAAR & Machine tests till the last day of the previous month.

1.2 Opt-Out Option

Students  planning to pursue higher studies and / or competitive examinations or those  not interested in the placement drives must submit a written undertaking to the TDP Cell latest by 30th August, 2025. Such students may opt to withdraw from the Opt-Out Option during the placement season for appearing in the subsequent placement drives.

1.3 One Student - One Job

One student – One Job policy will be followed in general for all the courses. However, in case of B.Tech., the students from Core branches viz. EC, EN, ME will be eligible for appearing in the placement drives of their core domain in spite of their selection in any IT company. The same will also be applicable for the various specializations in case of the students of MBA.

1.4 Dream Offer

Dream offer will be based on eligibility, experiences with alumni and the performance of the students in the placement drives of the various companies. The students may contact faculty placement coordinators and the members of TDP Cell for more information in this connection.

1.5 Acceptance of the Offer

All the selected students will have to accept the offer within the time frame specified by the recruiting organization and a refusal for the same may result in fines ranging from Rs.25,000/= to Rs.50,000/= as applicable for the respective recruiting organization along with debarring from the placement process for the complete academic session.

1.6 Joining

The schedule for Joining is at the discretion of the recruiting organization in view of the prevailing employment scenario of the country. All the selected students will be bound to join on time as per the communication received from the recruiting organization. However, in case of early joining (i.e. before completion of the course), a No Objection Certificate from the head of institution will be a mandatory requirement in compliance to the norms of the affiliating university. The students will have to apply for the same to the TDP Cell through their respective HOD and Faculty Placement Coordinators. Further, if the student fails to join the company within the stipulated time, the terms and conditions of the Clause 1.5 will be enforced.

1.7 Code of Conduct

  1. Strict discipline need to be followed by the students during the recruitment process. Anyone found misbehaving with the delegates of the recruiting organization or with the faculty / staff members during the recruitment process, will be debarred for the entire placement season. Any casual talks or remarks extended to the delegates of the recruiting organization by any student during or after the recruitment process will be treated as misbehavior on their part.
  2. Students should only register for drives that match their expectations and capabilities. An absence in the recruitment process after registration for the same will lead to debar for the entire placement season.
  3. Filled on the registration links for the various recruitment drives and must therefore fill in the registration forms themselves. Any forgery may result in disciplinary action and department.
  4. At the time of Placement drives it is mandatory to carry hard copy of resume by the students and they must follow the dress code of the college emphasizing the proper grooming.
