WHEN LEARNNG LIGHTS UP THE INVISIBLE: SRMS INSTITUTE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RADIOLOGY 2025!
At SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences, the International Day of Radiology 2025 was all about celebrating the people who help us see what the naked eye cannot.
The event began with a warm welcome and symbolic plant-sapling ceremony, joined by Chief Guests Dr Jaspreet Kaur (Principal, SRMS IPS), Dr Namrata Singh (Associate Professor, Radiodiagnosis), Dr Vinod Mogha (Assistant Professor, Radiodiagnosis), along with residents, radiology faculty, radio-technicians and students. A key highlight was an insightful Guest Lecture by Dr Namrata Singh, who explained how radiology is transforming diagnosis and patient care.
The energy rose with the Quiz Competition, where young radiographers showcased quick thinking.
The winners were Shruti Tiwari (BMRIT 22) – 1st; Muskan Verma (BMRIT 22) – 2nd; Santosh (BMRIT 23) – 3rd; Zoya & Sumandeep (BMRIT 24)-Consolation.
In the Intern category, Abhishek Maurya (BCT/MRIT 21) won 1st prize and Vaishnavi Sharma (BCT/MRIT 21) received Consolation. Creativity took over with the Poster Presentation Competition, turning clinical ideas into striking visuals. The top three winning teams were Team 1 – Sumandeep, Sonali, Akansha, Bhanu & Aman (BMRIT 24); Team 2 – Neetu, Vipul, Shivanshu, Jya & Akhand (BMRIT 24) & Team 8 – Muskan, Sneha, Zaki, Shaivan & Arju (BMRIT 22)
A special appreciation went to Tarun Verma (BMRIT 22) for his behind-the-scenes hard work and late-night efforts that kept the event running smoothly. The celebration ended with a cheerful prize distribution, cake cutting, and light refreshments, wrapping up a day filled with learning, laughter and camaraderie.
