AI & AUTOMATION TAKES CENTER STAGE AT SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE’s ALUMNI TALK

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly hosted an inspiring Alumni Lecture on “AI in Automation and Robotics” by proud alumnus Naved Khan (B Tech EEE, Batch 2013–17), Managing Director, Capital Electric Company & Voltix International Pvt. Ltd.
Drawing from his ventures in power panels, servo stabilizers, transformers, and advanced automation, Naved Khan captivated 1st–3rd year B Tech students (EC, ME, EN) with insights on how AI-driven automation is transforming industries. He highlighted how technology is bridging the gap between classrooms and real-world applications, while also underlining the importance of sustainability, innovation, and ethics in engineering.
The interactive session saw students engage in lively discussions on career prospects, industry trends, and technical concepts, leaving them motivated to embrace the future of engineering. Later, a memento was presented to the guest by Dr Ravindra Kumar, HOD, ME Dept, followed by a vote of thanks.
The event began with a warm welcome by Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, CET) and Dr Ravindra Kumar (HOD, ME). Dr Anuj Kumar (Director, TDP Cell) expressed pride in the alumnus’ achievements, while Dr SK Sinha (HOD, EN) emphasized AI’s role in reshaping industries and driving smarter technologies. The proceedings were smoothly conducted by Parul Dixit, MOC, ensuring the session was both insightful and inspiring for budding engineers.
