CODE. CRACK. CREATE. SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE TURNS CLASSROOMS INTO INNOVATION LABS
What happens when curiosity meets code? At SRMS College of Engineering and Technology (CET), it turns into two days of pure, high-voltage innovation…
The Training, Development and Placement (TDP) Cell recently hosted a power-packed workshop on “Networking with Ethical Hacking” and “Android App Development”, and it was anything but ordinary. With 150+ students from B Tech (CS/IT) and MCA diving in, this wasn’t just a session; it was a full-blown tech experience.
Led by Er Shantu Pukrait, Director, Netcamp Solutions (Kolkata), the workshop cut through theory and went straight into action. From decoding the language of networks, commands like ifconfig, ping, arp, to understanding the backbone of the internet through IPs, MAC addresses, DNS, and domain systems, students did it all. With hands-on exposure to Android Studio, participants moved from learning concepts to actually creating, designing, developing, and deploying their own basic applications. Because at SRMS, innovation isn’t explained, it’s experienced.
The workshop was formally welcomed by Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean, SRMS CET&R) with an eco-friendly gesture, setting the tone for a program rooted in both knowledge and values. With strong support from Dr Anuj Kumar (Director, TDP Cell), faculty members, and coordinators, the event became a seamless blend of guidance, execution, and impact.
