1. Introduction
Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust, a name synonymous with quality education and holistic development, has continuously endeavored to foster analytical thinking, managerial competence, and innovation among the youth of the nation.
With this vision, the Trust proposes to organize a National Level Case Study Analysis Contest titled “CaseCraft 2026: The Strategy Forge”, the National Case Study Analysis Challenge.
The contest aims to test the strategic acumen, decision-making ability, and problem-solving mindset of budding management professionals pursuing B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA and B.Com. programs across India.
It seeks to simulate real-world business challenges that require critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative learning.
2. Objectives
- To provide a national platform for management students to showcase their analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
- To expose participants to real-world business complexities and test their ability to develop feasible managerial solutions.
- To identify promising young talents and offer them academic growth opportunities at SRMS Institutions, Bareilly – Lucknow.
- To promote experiential learning and academic-industry linkage in line with SRMS Trust’s philosophy of innovation-driven education.
3. Contest Title and Theme

4. Contest Structure
The competition will be conducted in three rounds — two online elimination rounds and one offline Grand Finale hosted at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly.
Round 1 : CaseCraft – Preliminario (Online Abstract Submission)
Mode : Online (via Google Form or Dedicated Portal)
Objective : To assess analytical depth, problem identification, and strategic thought process.
Modus Operandi :
- A short business case (2–3 pages) will be shared with all registered participants.
- Participants (individual) will analyze the case and submit a 300–500 word abstract covering:
- Problem Statement
- Key Issues Identified
- Proposed Strategic Solutions
- Expected Outcomes
- Evaluation will be based on clarity of analysis, originality (assessed through AI based plagiarism checker), and feasibility of solution.
- Top 50 participants will qualify for Round 2.
Round 2 : CaseCraft – Present (Online Presentation Round)
Mode : Online (via Google Meet / Zoom)
Objective : To evaluate participants’ ability to present and defend their strategic recommendations.
Modus Operandi :
- Qualified participants will be given a new case study 2 days before the presentation.
- Each participant will submit a PowerPoint presentation (6–8 slides).
- Presentation Time: 7 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A with the jury.
- Judging Parameters:
- Problem understanding
- Analytical reasoning
- Creativity of solution
- Practical feasibility
- Top 15 finalists will advance to the Grand Finale.
Round 3 : The CaseCraft-GrandBoardroom (Offline Final Round)
Venue : SRMS College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly
Objective : To simulate real-life strategic decision-making before an expert panel.
Modus Operandi :
- Finalists will be given a comprehensive real-world case study (from Indian or global business context).
- Case release: 24 hours before the finale.
- Participants will prepare an in-depth Boardroom Presentation (10–12 slides) of maximum 20 minutes duration covering analysis, strategy formulation, implementation plan, and expected results.
- Each participant/team will present before a jury panel comprising academicians, industry experts, and SRMS Trust members.
- Q&A and cross-questioning will test conceptual depth, confidence, and business logic.
5. Eligibility Criteria
- Open to:
- B.Tech / B.Pharm / BBA / B.Com. Final Year students.
- Participation Mode: Individual
- Teams can include students from the same or different institutions
6. Registration Details
- Registration Mode : Online (via SRMS CET official website / event portal)
- Registration Fee : ₹1100 per participant
- Registration Period : 15th January 2026 – 10th February 2026
- Accommodation : Stay & Fooding will be managed for the participants of Round 3

Academic Opportunity
Top 05 B.Tech. / B.Pharm. / BBA / B.Com. Final Year Winners will be offered Direct Admission to MBA Programs at any of the following institutions for the academic year 2026–27, with Zero Tution Fee and Stipend upto Rs.10000/- per month (Rs.6000/- per month for BBA / B.Com.) during the Academic Year 2026-27:
- SRMS College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly, or
- SRMS International Business School, Unnao
It will be subject to the condition of signing a bond for serving SRMS Institutions or the startups / ventures incubated under SRMS Charitable Foundation, a company registered under Section 8 of Companies Act, for a minimum period of two (02) years during which remuneration will be given as per the industry standards. Performance based annual appreciation will be done during the period of service bond:
9. Event Rules & Regulations
- Participation : Individual
- Language : All submissions and presentations must be in English
- Original Work : Plagiarism or copied content will lead to disqualification
- Case Confidentiality : Participants must not share case details publicly before round completion
- Judging : The decision of the jury shall be final and binding
- Presentation Mode :
o Rounds 1 & 2 will be conducted virtually
o Round 3 (Grand Finale) will be held offline at SRMS CET, Bareilly - Code of Conduct : Participants must adhere to professional ethics and respect event protocols
- Submission Format : PDF/PPT files only, submitted within the defined deadline
