FROM THEORY TO TECH: ECE STUDENTS GET HANDS-ON with ANSYS at SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in association with IIC and Robotrax Club at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, and in collaboration with ANSYS Electronics, hosted a practical workshop on ‘Advancing Product Design with ANSYS Electronics & Multiphysics Solutions’. It focused on equipping students with practical insights into the real-world use of simulation tools for electronics system design.

The workshop blended learning, application, and innovation, bringing classroom concepts closer to industry practice. Industry expert Er Shubhendra Mishra, Application Engineer-HF at ARK Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. led a session on real-world simulation workflows, while Dr Sovan Mohanty, HOD ECE, shared insights on RF and wideband antenna design.

A demonstration on EMI/ EMC analysis, antenna design, and thermal-electrical coupling was done followed by a lively Quiz that added a competitive edge. The event saw participation of over 50 students with 55+ attendees. Total cash prize of worth Rs 10,000 was given to winners, wherein, 1^st cash prize of Rs 5,000 went to Pratiksha Singh, Alankrit Kaushik, Mohd. Saad, Kapil Sharma, Vinayak Deval and Basu Sharma. 2^nd cash prize of Rs 3000 went to Disha, Pratibha, Sparsh, Abhay, Chetaanshi and Pranav, while 3^rd cash prize of Rs 2000 was bagged by Ayushi, Ayush, Deepansh, Sneha, Viraj and Anya Agarwal. The event was coordinated by Er Sumbul, Er Preeti Verma, and Er Anuj Agarwal.
