LEARNING TO HACK FOR GOOD: SRMS COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS EXPLORE THE POWER OF ETHICAL CYBERSECURITY at ETHICAL HACKING BOOTCAMP!

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology and Research (CET&R), Bareilly in collaboration with the Value Addition Cell and under the supervision of IIC-SRMS CET&R, successfully organized a 3-day hands on bootcamp titled “ETHICAL HACKING—HACK TO PROTECT” for the students of B Tech 3rd year.

The bootcamp, led by Harshit Yadav, Assistant Professor, CSE Department at SRMS CET&R, in the presence of Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean Academics, CET&R, focused on enhancing practical skills and understanding through live demonstrations. Students gained hands-on exposure to ethical hacking setups, advanced Google Dorking techniques, and responsible information gathering methods. An assessment, at the end of the program evaluated participants’ learning outcomes.

The event ended with a certification ceremony, where Dr Manvi Sharma, HOD (CSE), presented a certificate of appreciation to the resource person, and highlighted the rising importance of cybersecurity and ethical responsibility in the digital era.
