SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE OBSERVES ANTI-RAGGING WEEK WITH CREATIVE CAMPAIGNS & STRONG VOICES

SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, marked Anti-Ragging Week with a powerful mix of activities designed to spread awareness, creativity, and compassion for a ragging-free campus.
The week opened with Short Films & Documentaries by the ECE Department, where 70 freshers and seniors watched impactful visuals highlighting the harmful effects and legal consequences of ragging. The session was graced by Dr Vivek Yadav (Chief Proctor), Dr Sovan Mohanty (HOD, EC), and faculty members.
Students then poured their creativity into a Poster-Making Competition on ‘Anti-Ragging Awareness: A Safe and Respectful Campus’. The vibrant entries carried thought-provoking slogans. Winners were Garima Agarwal (1st), Nitya Gangwar & Anubhuti (2nd), Rashi Bajpai (3rd).
The highlight was a Debate Competition on ‘Impact of Ragging on Mental Health’. From trauma and anxiety to data-backed insights, participants presented compelling arguments. Winners included Kushagra Gupta (1st), Pratibha Patel & Sarthak Gandhi (2nd), and Tanvi (3rd). The debate was judged by Dr Avtar Singh and Mahendra Singh (EC Dept). Winners across events were felicitated by Dr Ritu Singh, Vice Principal, CET, applauding students for voicing the importance of empathy, mutual respect, and unity. Together, they reaffirmed #SayNoToRagging.
