SRMS IDEATHON 2025: VIDYAA WORLD SCHOOL SHINES AS WINNERS; MB INTER COLLEGE & SETH MR JAIPURIA SCHOOL FOLLOW AS YOUNG INNOVATORS DRIVE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS!

SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly hosted ‘IDEATHON – Science Exhibition’ for Class 11^th & 12^th students on the theme “Innovate for a Sustainable Future”, aligned with SDG Goal 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure.

The event saw 87 students from 14 schools (25 teams) present breakthrough ideas tackling real-world challenges — from Smart Agriculture using IoT, AI-powered energy-efficient appliances, Cloudburst Prediction Systems, Smart Mobility, Carbon Filtration, Footstep Power Generation, Vehicle Pollution Control using Infrared Rays, Flood Management Plan, Inclusive Mobility Solutions for Persons with Disabilities to Multi-purpose Dustbins & lot more.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust, in presence of Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, CET), Dr MS Butola (Principal, IMS), Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean Academics, CETR), Dr Anuj Kumar (Director, TDP Cell) & Organizing Secretaries Dr Saty Dev & Er Ashwani K Chauhan, (ME Department); Er Nipun Pande (ECE Department) & others.

Expert faculty including Dr Ritesh Kumar Tiwari, Dr Sunil K Sinha, Dr Hiresh Kumar Gupta, Dr Ravindra Kumar, Dr Saurabh Gupta, Dr Pushpendra Yadav (CET) & Dr Manvi Mishra (CETR) evaluated projects.

At the valedictory session, Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary, felicitated winners:

• 1st Prize (₹21,000) – Vidya World School (Team Vidyaa HygieNova: Clean Power Bin)
• 2nd Prize (₹11,000) – MB Inter College (Team Jites Kumar: Driver Monitoring & Safety System with IR Sensors)
• 3rd Prize (₹5,100) – Seth MR Jaipuria School (Team Planet Protectors: Health, Hygiene & Well-being)
• Consolation (₹2,100 each) – Handa Public School (Team Handa’s), Sacred Hearts Public School (Team Quantum Innovators), and GRM School, Dohra Road (Team-The Future Innovators).
