SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE HOSTS POWERFUL SESSION ON GENDER SENSITIZATION & SAFETY

A safe campus isn’t just a policy — it’s a promise.

SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly took a strong step by hosting an eye-opening session on “Gender Sensitization, Prevention & Prohibition of Sexual Harassment of Women and Students at Workplace” recently.

The lecture brought students and faculty together for an important conversation on dignity, equality, empathy, and safety. The session was led by Dr Bindu Garg, Dean UG at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), who’s a renowned physiologist with 19+ years of academic experience. Her insights covered understanding gender sensitivity, legal protections & reporting mechanisms, preventive steps to stop harassment and building environments of respect, awareness & accountability

She said, “A safe campus grows from voices that speak up and systems that stand strong.”

The program was graced by Dr Nita Yadav (Academic Coordinator) and Dr Ritu Singh (Vice Principal) whose presence strengthened the initiative. As the session concluded, Dr Garg was thanked for her impactful guidance that left students more aware, more empowered, and more committed to creating a campus where everyone feels safe and respected.
