31 TEAMS. REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS. ONE BIG STEP TOWARDS SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2026 | SRMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, BAREILLY

The journey towards Smart India Hackathon 2026 moved a step forward at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, with the Internal Hackathon held recently.

Bringing together 31 enthusiastic student teams, the hackathon saw young innovators present their ideas and solutions across Hardware and Software categories, taking on real-world problem statements with fresh perspectives and a strong problem-solving approach. What stood out was not just the ideas, but the way students came together to turn those ideas into possible solutions, putting their technical skills, creativity, teamwork and innovation to the test while thinking about feasibility and the potential impact of their work.

The Internal Hackathon also marked an important stage in the short listing process for Smart India Hackathon 2026, helping identify promising teams and solutions that could go forward and represent SRMSCET at the national-level platform. For the students, it was an opportunity to build, collaborate, think differently and experience what it takes to work on challenges that extend beyond the classroom. And perhaps, most importantly, it was another encouraging sign of the growing culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and solution-oriented thinking at SRMSCET Bareilly.

The ideas have been presented. The teams have been tested. The next step is the national stage…
