FROM CLASSROOM LEARNING TO INDUSTRY CONNECT: SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE SIGNS MoU with QUAERE ETECHNOLOGIES to PREPARE STUDENTS for the AI-DRIVEN FUTURE

The future of technology is being shaped by AI, and at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, students are getting an early opportunity to understand it, explore it and prepare for what lies ahead. The Training, Development & Placement (TDP) Cell organised an engaging session on Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), bringing students face-to-face with emerging technologies and industry perspectives.

A key highlight was the signing of an MoU between SRMS CET and Quaere Etechnologies Private Limited, which served to establish a structured roadmap towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration through technical training, hands-on workshops, real-world project exposure and placement preparation for students.

Yashi Asthana, Director, and Er Akshay Pathak, Manager, Corporate Relations & Training, from Quaere Etechnologies, shared industry insights and introduced students to the growing possibilities of Generative AI and RAG. Through interactive activities and a learn-by-game approach, students explored how AI can support problem-solving, streamline repetitive tasks and open new avenues for innovation. However, the message for future technologists was simple: learn AI, master it, and use it to expand your potential.

The programme was attended by Prof Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal, SRMS CET; Dr Ritu Singh, Vice Principal, SRMS CET; Prof Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean Academics, SRMS CETR; and Prof Dr Anuj Kumar, Director, TDP, SRMS CET. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr Deepak Batra.
