SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE WINS ‘SRMS INSTITUTIONS RUNNING CRICKET CUP 2026’ with 5-WICKET VICTORY over SRMS INSTITUTE OF ALLIED & HEALTHCARE SCIENCES…

4 days of fierce competition, 7 matches played, packed sidelines, and campus pride, and in the end, SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) held their nerve to lift the Season-3 SRMS Trust Institutions Running Cricket Cup–2026 Trophy, at SRMS Cricket Stadium…

In a high-energy final, SRMS CET outplayed defending champions SRMS Institute of Allied & Healthcare Sciences (IAHS), previously SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), restricting them to 90 in 14.2 overs and chasing down 94/5 in 18 overs to seal a commanding 5-wicket win and an unbeaten title run. The other two participating institutions were SRMS College of Engineering, Technology and Research (CET&R) and SRMS College of Nursing, and SRMS Institute of Medical Science (IMS).

The star of the showdown was Aditya Saxena (CET), a true match-winner, scoring 23 crucial runs in 23 balls & 2 wickets for just 10 runs in the final. He made 109 runs and took 9 wickets across the tournament, and finally bagged the titles of Best Batsman, Man of the Match & Man of the Tournament. Surya Pratap Singh (CET) also claimed 9 wickets to be named Best Bowler.

As the trophy was handed over to CET captain Aditya Maurya and his team, the cheers from faculty, staff, and students said it all. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Dev Murti (Chairman SRMS Trust); Aditya Murti (Trust Secretary); Dr MS Butola (Principal, IMS); Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, SRMS CET); Dr Jaspreet Kaur (Principal, IAHS); Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean, CET&R) and several others.
