SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OBSERVES ANTI-RAGGING WEEK FOR MBBS FRESHERS WITH AWARENESS, CREATIVITY & COMMITMENT!

SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly organized Anti-Ragging Week exclusively for its new MBBS Batch of 2025, with active participation and support from senior batches 2021–2024. Held under the directives of the Supreme Court, UGC, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, and NMC, the initiative reaffirmed IMS’s pledge to ensure a safe, inclusive, and ragging-free campus for freshers.

The week began with Committee & Squad Meetings to review preventive measures, followed by a Joint Sensitization Session where freshers were informed about anti-ragging rules, regulations, punishments, and IMS’s strict zero-tolerance policy.

Inspiring addresses were delivered by Dr MS Butola (Principal, IMS) urging discipline, Dr Bindu Garg (Dean UG) highlighting legal & academic consequences, and Dr Neeraj Prajapati (Chief Warden) emphasizing vigilance. They were joined by Dr RP Singh (MS, Convenor), Dr Rahul Kumar Goel (Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology) and other committee members.

Adding a creative touch, students across batches showcased their ideas through Slogan Writing, Essay Writing, Poster Making, and Logo Designing competitions, while a thought-provoking Role Play and Documentary Screening amplified the strong message, Say No to Ragging.” With the involvement of all batches, the week became a powerful reminder of IMS’s values of respect, empathy, and discipline, ensuring a welcoming environment for the Batch of 2025.
