SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES WELCOMES MBBS BATCH 2025: A PROUD MOMENT AS FUTURE DOCTORS DON THEIR WHITE COATS

A defining milestone unfolded at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, as MBBS Batch 2025 formally entered their clinical phase with the prestigious White Coat Ceremony, symbolizing compassion, discipline, and medical excellence.

The event opened with lamp lighting by Shri Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust), alongside Er Subhash Mehra (Trust Advisor), Aditya Murti (Director Administration), Air Marshal (Retd.) Dr MS Butola (Principal), Dr RP Singh (Medical Superintendent), Dr Rohit Sharma (Dean PG), Dr Bindu Garg (Dean UG), senior faculty, and department heads.

Dr MS Butola welcomed the new batch, reminding them that the white coat is “a second skin”—a mark of responsibility, empathy, alertness, and integrity. He urged them to stay positive, care for their well-being, and work diligently through the five-year journey. Shri Dev Murti shared a powerful message on punctuality and decision-making, noting that “a minute saved can save a life.” He encouraged discipline, academic excellence, respect for seniors, and striving for SRMS merit-based scholarships. He also felicitated Talent Hunt winners and blessed all new white coat recipients. Aditya Murti welcomed students from over 12 states into the SRMS family, urging them to step out of comfort zones, work as a team, and always prioritize patient care.

The ceremony’s highlight came as students donned their white coats and took the Charak Oath, pledging lifelong service and ethical practice. The event was anchored by Mohor Banerjee and Ishaan Khosla of MBBS Batch 2023.
