The programme commenced with faculty-led sessions introducing students to institutional rules and regulations, hostel decorum and anti-ragging guidelines, followed by a welcome address by (Air Marshal) Dr MS Butola, Principal, SRMS IMS.

Over the 17 days, expert-led sessions cover health check-ups, mental health and wellness, physicians’ roles across healthcare levels, family practice, White Coat values, healthcare precautions, effective medical communication, disease prevention for healthcare professionals, stress management, and the safe handling and disposal of bio-hazardous materials in a simulated environment. Students also explore national health goals and policies, Community Health Centre structure and functioning, including a visit to one, undergraduate research, the consequences of unprofessional and unethical behavior, and Basic Life Support in the skills lab. The program also includes orientation to all MBBS subjects and the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology.

The coming days will further explore group learning and group dynamics, along with diverse career pathways and opportunities for personal growth, culminating in a grand WHITE COAT CEREMONY on October 29, 2026. Adding a vibrant dimension to the program, a Talent Hunt is bringing students’ creativity and enthusiasm to the forefront through arts, literary activities, cultural performances, sports, athletics and other extracurricular pursuits.
