BAREILLY’s SRMS INSTITUTE of MEDICAL SCIENCES’ WELCOMES SANTOSH KUMAR GANGWAR as CHIEF GUEST at GRAND INAUGURATION OF PULMOCRIT 2026…
A prestigious beginning to 9th SRMS PULMOCRIT Conference 2026 unfolded today (September 25) at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, with His Excellency Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, as Chief Guest at the grand inaugural ceremony. The conference is centred on the theme “Critical Care Beyond Boundaries: Transforming Critical Care in Resource-Limited Settings.”
The arrival of the Chief Guest was accorded a warm ceremonial welcome, including the ITBP band, followed by his reception by Shri Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust); Aditya Murti (Director Administration); Dr (Air Marshal) MS Butola (Retd.) (Principal, SRMS IMS); Dr RP Singh (Medical Superintendent); senior dignitaries and Dr Lalit Singh (Organizing Secretary).
The inauguration featured the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, Sansthan Geet and the felicitation of Chief Guest and distinguished personalities from critical care fraternity, including Dr Ranvir Singh Tyagi (National President, ISCCM & Chancellor, Indian College of Critical Care Medicine); Dr Syed Moied Ahmed (Vice-Chancellor, Al-Karim University, Katihar); and Dr Narendra Rungta (Past President, ISCCM National & National Chairman, Critical Care Chapter, Indian Academy of Pediatrics)– who were also felicitated with prestigious SRMS Oration Awards.
The proceedings also brought together distinguished voices from SRMS IMS and ISCCM, with addresses by the Principal, President ISCCM and Chairman SRMS Trust, followed by the special address of His Excellency Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Later, the Conference Souvenirs were released by the Chief Guest and dignitaries on the dais. Shri Dev Murti presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation, while Aditya Murti delivered the Vote of Thanks.
PULMOCRIT 2026 now moves to Jim Corbett, Ramnagar, for the next two days, continuing the conversation on knowledge, innovation and meaningful approaches to taking critical care beyond conventional boundaries.
