Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy is a dynamic & state of art centre for all dermatological & aesthetic solutions. The department has 20 I.P.D beds which are fully equipped & monitored round the clock by a team of adequately trained faculty & dedicated junior residents. It is well equipped with latest equipments for diagnostic & curative therapy. Noteworthy among these are - Q switch NdYag laser for pigmentory disorders & tattoo removal; Diode laser for hair reduction; Fractional C02 laser for ablative skin rejuvenation & excision surgeries, Micro Needling Radio Frequency (MNRF) and Erbium Yag laser for non-ablative skin rejuvenation, IPL -Intense Pulse Light and for rosacea and skin tightening. EXCIMER laser for vitiligo & psoriasis. Iontophoresis for hyperhidrosis, Microdermabrasion for non-ablative skin rejuvenation, whole body NBUVB chamber for vitiligo & psoriatic phototherapy, Dermatoscope for diagnostic facilities. Department also performs various advance dermatosurgery procedures like Botulinum toxin injections for facial rejuvenation and hyperhidrosis. NCES (Non Cultured Epidermal Suspension) for Vitiligo, Biofillers for scar remodeling, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, Platelet Rich Fibrin Therapy, Regenerative therapy, chemical peels etc.

The Department of Dermatology is engaged in teaching Undergraduate and postgraduate students, patient care and research work simultaneously. Department runs speciality clinic daily which are catered by specialist dermatologists. STI clinic runs in close co - ordination with ICTC centre. Besides several other weekly speciality clinic are also being run by the department example Bullous disorder clinic, Psoriasis clinic, Autoimmune disease clinic, Contact dermatitis clinic, Vitiligo and pigmentary disease clinic, leprosy clinic. The department started giving Botulinum toxin injection for facial rejuvenation, hyperhidrosis, hypertrophic scars & keloids recently. Department is at the forefront of research at SRMSIMS and running externally funded research projects.
Residents are our brand ambassadors. They participate in various conferences and have been bringing various prizes national and state level conferences regularly. The senior residents have been awarded various fellowships by IADVL and ACSI regularly.
