TWO DAYS, ONE INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM, COUNTLESS IDEAS: ICACIS-2026 CONCLUDES AT SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Two days of research, conversations and ideas came to a close at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, with the successful conclusion of International Conference on Advances in Computing & Intelligent Systems (ICACIS-2026).

Held around the theme “Recent Trends in Intelligent and Secure Computing,” the conference brought together research scholars, faculty, industry professionals and experts from India and abroad.

The programme featured diverse perspectives on emerging technologies. Dr Prabhat Kumar, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland, spoke on AI in the software lifecycle and responsible AI, while Prof (Dr) Ashwani Kumar, Bennett University, shared insights on machine learning algorithms for AI systems. The international keynote by Prof (Dr) Jasni Mohamad Zain, Director, IBDAAI, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, focused on Big Data frameworks and the pillars of secure AI systems.

Other expert sessions by Dr Dheeraj K Khatod (IIT Roorkee), Dr Pradeep Atrey (University at Albany, SUNY), Dr Somesh Kumar (IIITM Gwalior), Prof (Dr) Ihtiram Raza Khan (Jamia Hamdard) and Satgur Pyari Padmanabham (Springer Nature) covered semiconductor technology, EVs, secure cloud computing, VLSI, Quantum AI and research publishing.

At the heart of ICACIS-2026 were the technical sessions, spanning machine learning, pattern recognition, computer vision, AI, sustainable healthcare, communication technologies and intelligent systems. The conference recorded 332 paper presentations, with 91 papers accepted after rigorous review.

The Best Paper Award went to Ashish Agrawal for “Current Status of Applying Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques for the Classification and Feature Extraction of Paintings.” The Valedictory Session concluded with participant feedback, certificate distribution and a Vote of Thanks by Er Ashish Agrawal, Head of IT Department & Organizing Chair.
