DR RAVINDRA KUMAR: MEET THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MIND DRIVING NEXT-GEN MECHANICAL ENGINEERS AT SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Today, we spotlight Dr Ravindra Kumar, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRMS CET, Bareilly, a respected academician, researcher, and mentor whose journey reflects the perfect blend of technical excellence, industry exposure, and research-driven education.

Dr Ravindra Kumar completed his PhD in Welding Engineering and M.Tech in Industrial Metallurgy (Materials Engineering) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, along with B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from UP Technical University. A 2006 GATE qualifier, he was also awarded the prestigious MHRD Fellowship during his PhD research at IIT Roorkee.

With 15+ years of experience in teaching, research, and project guidance, he has played a key role as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at SRMS CET while continuously promoting practical engineering learning through industrial visits, technical exposure programmes, and hands-on academic training.

Beyond classrooms, Dr Ravindra actively contributes as a member of the Board of Studies (ME Department) and Research Promotion Committee at SRMS CET. He has also been mentoring IIT-JEE and Medical aspirants while contributing towards improving educational opportunities for rural children. Known for bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and industrial applications, Dr Ravindra Kumar continues to inspire future engineers with innovation, research, and practical learning at the core of education.
