Turning Research Ideas into Impactful Publications & Funded Projects…

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully conducted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Manuscript and Project Grant Writing.

Designed to strengthen academic and research writing skills, the session guided faculty members through the essentials of writing quality manuscripts for reputed journals and developing effective project grant proposals, right from structuring ideas and budgeting to meeting funding guidelines and ethical standards. The FDP saw enthusiastic participation from 27 faculty members and 4 staff members, reflecting a strong commitment towards research-driven growth.

The highlights from the FDP included insightful discussion on research ethics and principal ethical codes by Dr Sovan Mohanty, Associate Professor & Head, Department of ECE; practical exposure to research tools and methodologies shared by Dr Avtar Singh, Associate Professor, ECE; and interactive learning focused on building a culture of research excellence and academic integrity.
