FROM CODE to CLARITY: SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE TURNS 5-DAY LaTeX WORKSHOP into a NATIONAL LEARNING MOVEMENT

At SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, the Department of ME in collaboration with IIC, hosted a 5-day National-Level Skill Enhancement Course on Academic & Professional Writing using LaTeX.

Conducted in hybrid mode and sponsored by Voltix International Pvt Ltd and Capital Electric Company, the workshop was led by Dr Surja Deka (Senior Design Engineer, Hi-Point Services Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai) & Er Ashish Kumar (Assistant Professor, Department of ME).

With 93+ participants joining in from premier institutions of India like IIT Bombay; IIT (ISM) Dhanbad; IIT (BHU) Varanasi; NIT Jamshedpur (Jharkhand); BNAL Prefab Pvt Limited; Central Agricultural University, Imphal (Manipur); Government Polytechnic, Kishanganj (Bihar); Institute of Rural Management, Anand (Gujarat); Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (UP); Bareilly International University; Future University, Bareilly; RIMT Bareilly & RBMI Bareilly (UP), the energy was nothing short of inspiring.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr Ritu Singh (Vice Principal, CET), while Dr Ravindra Kumar (HOD, ME) formally welcomed the gathering. Dr Anuj Kumar (Director, TDP Cell) emphasized the growing importance of LaTeX in academic and professional excellence, and the session further ended with an engaging quiz.

The workshop concluded with an inspiring address by Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, CET), in the presence of Dr Ritu Singh, followed by a formal vote of thanks by Dr Saty Dev (Deputy DSW, CET).

The entire event was seamlessly coordinated by Er Sakshi Tiwari and Er Parul Dixit (Assistant Professors, ME Department).
