SRMS ENGINEERING STUDENTS GET HANDS-ON WITH LITHIUM-ION TECH
When learning goes beyond the classroom, things get real…
At SRMS College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bareilly, the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, along with the Synergy Club and IIC, hosted a hands-on training on “Learn to Manufacture Powerful Lithium-Ion Battery for Your Home.”
Graced by Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, SRMS CET), Dr Ritu Singh (Vice Principal), and Er Ashish Agarwal (IIC Convener), the session brought together 14 teams and 46 students for an experience that was anything but ordinary.
And this wasn’t just theory. Students actually built a 12V lithium-ion battery pack from scratch, understanding cell configuration, exploring Battery Management Systems (BMS), and learning testing techniques step by step. It was all about doing, experimenting, and figuring things out in real time with a lot of curiosity and “let’s try this” energy.
More than just a workshop, it was a space where innovation met application, giving students practical skills while highlighting safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
