The future of work is changing, and being career-ready means going beyond technical knowledge. At SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, students explored this new employability equation through an insightful Expert Lecture on Gen AI + Technical Skills + Human Skills.
The session focused on enriching the teaching-learning process, building industry-relevant knowledge, understanding the growing role of Generative AI in careers, and developing professional and human skills alongside technical expertise. It brought together students from B Tech (2nd–4th Year), BCA (2nd–3rd Year), MCA (2nd Year), BBA (2nd–3rd Year) and MBA (2nd Year).
The programme began with a welcome and sapling presentation to resource persons Jyoti Srivastava (Technical & Business Transformation Executive, TCS) and Himanshu Kumar (Senior Professional, TCS) by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal, SRMS CET, in the presence of Dr Ritu Singh (Vice Principal), Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean Academics, CETR), Dr Anuj Kumar (Director, TDP Cell), Er Vivek Yadav (Chief Proctor) and others.
Jyoti Srivastava shared valuable insights into how Gen AI is transforming industries, the skills students need to stay ahead, and how AI can be leveraged to build successful, future-ready careers. Himanshu Kumar further enriched the session, followed by an interactive Q&A on using AI for research and everyday student life.
