FISCPCON 2026 WRAPS UP SUCCESSFULLY AT SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES BAREILLY, LEAVING BEHIND TWO DAYS OF SURGICAL LEARNING, EXPERTISE & EXPERIENCE
Two days of focused learning, expert exchange and hands-on surgical experience came to a successful close as FISCPCON (Fellowship in International Society of Coloproctology) Bareilly 2026 concluded at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly.
Organized by the Department of General, Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery, SRMS IMS, in association with ASI, Bareilly, and under the aegis of International Society of Coloproctology (ISCP), the fellowship brought together renowned national faculty, experienced surgeons & PG learners on a common platform.
Across the two days, participants explored basic to advanced surgical techniques and approaches in Coloproctology, with a strong focus on minimally invasive procedures and laser proctology. Operative workshops, live surgical demonstrations, case discussions and video-based learning provided an opportunity to connect surgical knowledge with practical clinical experience, covering a wide range of important proctological conditions like haemorrhoids, fistula-in-ano, fissure-in-ano, pilonidal sinus, anal incontinence and anal stenosis, among others.
The fellowship was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, members of ISCP Executive Committee, Aditya Murti, Director Administration, SRMS IMS , Dr SK Sagar (Organizing Chairman), Dr Amit K Singh (Organizing Secretary) & other distinguished guests. One of the memorable moments was the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to Dr IS Tomar, Senior Bareilly Surgeon & Ex-Mayor , and Dr Lalata Prasad , Senior Ayurvedic Surgeon, in recognition of their distinguished contribution and service.
The conference also encouraged the next generation of surgeons through a free poster presentation opportunity for postgraduate students, giving them a platform to share their academic work and engage with experts and peers.
