GENITOURINARY PATHOLOGY UPDATE 2025 AT SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES: A POWER-PACKED CONFLUENCE OF DIAGNOSTICS, DIALOGUE & DISCOVERY
Pioneering Precision in Pathology for Better Patient Care
The Department of Pathology, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, hosted the Genitourinary Pathology Update 2025—a comprehensive 2-day CME cum Workshop spotlighting diagnostic excellence and cutting-edge updates in genitourinary pathology.
Inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, along with Aditya Murti, Director Administration, the event was graced by eminent guests speakers including Prof (Dr) Santosh Menon (TMC Mumbai); Prof (Dr) Gurudutt Gupta (RGCIRC, Delhi); Prof Dr Swapnil Rane (TMC, Mumbai); Prof Dr Meenakshi (RGCIRC, Delhi); Prof Dr Subhash Yadav (TMC, Mumbai), in the presence of Dr MS Butola (Principal, IMS), Dr RP Singh (MS), Organizing Chairperson & Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Dr Tanu Agrawal, and Organizing Secretary Dr Surabhi Pandey. In his inaugural address, Shri Dev Murti emphasized, “Modern medical science enables better patient care only when diagnosis is accurate.”
The scientific sessions were divided into two tracks—Bladder & Prostate and Kidney & Testis. Highlights included Dr Subhash Yadav on specimen examination, prostate cancer mimics, and kidney tumor classification; Dr Swapnil Rane on bladder cancer diagnostics and IHC use in resolving complex cases; Dr Meenakshi Kamboj on updated prostate cancer grading; Dr Santosh Menon on kidney cancer and the importance of CMEs for PG students; and Dr Gurudutt Gupta on molecular tests in bladder cancer, testicular tumors, and SRMS IMS’s contribution to public welfare and academic enrichment.
A dynamic slide-viewing workshop, interactive expert sessions, and poster and oral presentations elevated the learning experience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Surabhi Pandey.
