HEALING WITHOUT THE SCAPEL: SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES IS REDEFINING GALLSTONE CARE THROUGH ADVANCED ENDOSCOPY!
What if complex gallstone problems could be treated without major surgery, long hospital stays, or prolonged pain? At SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS) Bareilly, that future is already here.
In a powerful step towards safer, faster, and minimally invasive healthcare, the Department of Gastroenterology successfully organised a two-day Cholangioscopy Workshop, showcasing modern, non-surgical solutions for complex bile duct diseases, ensuring safer procedures, quicker recovery, and minimal hospital stay.
Led by Dr Shivam Gupta, with Dr Saurabh Kaushik and senior doctors, the workshop treated 8 patients with complex gallstones using advanced Cholangioscopy, avoiding major surgery altogether.
Held in collaboration with Microtech Company, the workshop featured live demonstrations and hands-on training on state-of-the-art equipment for doctors and residents. With strong support from the Anesthesia team, patient safety remained paramount.
At SRMS IMS, innovation moves beyond classrooms and conferences, directly transforming patient care and outcomes.
