‘FISCPCON 2026’ KICKS OFF at BAREILLY’S SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BRINGING SURGICAL EXPERTISE, HANDS-ON LEARNING & LIVE OPERATIVE EXPERIENCE TO THE FOREFRONT…

The two-day FISCPCON (Fellowship in International Society of Coloproctology) Bareilly 2026 (September 12-13) kicked off today at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, bringing together renowned national faculty, experienced surgeons and postgraduate learners for two days of focused academic exchange, operative learning and hands-on surgical experience.

Organized by Department of General, Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery, SRMS IMS, in association with ASI, Bareilly, and under the aegis of International Society of Coloproctology (ISCP), the fellowship is designed to take participants through basic to advanced techniques and surgical approaches in Colo Proctology. The two-day event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust, alongside esteemed dignitaries, ISCP Executive Committee, Aditya Murti (Director Administration, SRMS IMS) and many others.

The programme features operative workshops and live surgical demonstrations by eminent speakers in the field, with focused learning around haemorrhoids, fistula-in-ano, fissure-in-ano, pilonidal sinus, anal incontinence, anal stenosis and other important proctological conditions.

Dr SK Sagar, Organizing Chairman said, “With dedicated sessions on minimally invasive procedures and laser proctology, along with case discussions, video-based learning and practical operative insights, FISCPCON 2026 offers participants an opportunity to connect surgical concepts with real-world clinical practice.” The added highlight of Day-1 was giving away of Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr IS Tomar (Senior Bareilly Surgeon & Ex-Mayor) and Dr Lalata Prasad (Senior Ayurvedic Surgeon) for their distinguished services.

Adding another learning opportunity for the next generation of surgeons, the conference also features a free poster presentation opportunity for postgraduate students.
