REIMAGINING BRAIN SCIENCE WITH AI: SRMS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES HOSTS NATIONAL CME on NEUROANATOMY, AI & CLINICAL FRONTIERS
Bringing the future of medicine into the present, Department of Anatomy at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly hosted a CME on ‘AI-Driven Insights into Neuroanatomy Education & its Clinical Implication: Revolutionizing Brain Science’, uniting renowned medical professionals, neuroscientists & AI experts from across the country to explore how technology is revolutionizing the study of brain & its clinical practices.
The CME began with unveiling of Histology Manual for MBBS students, a significant academic resource aimed at enriching medical education. Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, inaugurated the CME alongside Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; and Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent. Reflecting on the mysteries of human mind, Shri Dev Murti remarked, “Even today, we have not fully understood the complexities of a 250-gram brain. Perhaps the age of AI will help unlock those secrets.”
Dr Namita Mehrotra, Organizing Chairperson & HOD Anatomy, along with Organizing Secretary Dr Shambhu Prasad, steered the academic discussions. The event was further elevated by special guest Professor Dr Navneet Chauhan, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, who praised SRMS IMS for its exceptional infrastructure and high standards of patient care. Featuring a lineup of distinguished speakers, Dr Rashmi Malhotra (AIIMS Rishikesh) advocated for digital innovation in medical education. Dr Maheep Singh Gaur, Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon, Vimhans Hospital, New Delhi delivered insights on “Stereotactic Radiosurgery and AI Applications”. Dr Sanjeev Kumar (IIT Roorkee) linked cutting-edge research with clinical application. Dr Arpan Haldar (AIIMS Deoghar) addressed “Transformative Synergies in Neurological Diagnosis and Educational Research”. Dr A Sharif (AIIMS New Delhi) & Dr Ashok Sahay (Australia) also contributed their insights virtually. The day concluded with Poster & Oral Presentation segment, where young scholars showcased innovative research and exchanged interdisciplinary ideas.
