Ram Rakhi Cancer Institute and Research center was inaugurated on 30th September 2008 to provide integrated oncology services, which focuses on delivering the right treatment and support to patients, as early as possible in their cancer journey.
The hospital is all set to provide quality cancer care- Surgical, Radiation & Medical oncology all under one roof with full range of diagnostics. The team consists of eminent doctors trained from AIIMS, New Delhi, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, & Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Trivandrum. The management of all the patients undergo a stringent vigilance of “Tumor Board” which comprises of specialists from various departments.
Functioning under the auspices of the Department of Radiotherapy, it is equipped with two High Energy Linear Accelerators and 30 channel HDR Brachytherapy. The newly installed Linear Accelerator TRUE BEAM is high precision radiation equipment that has evolved recently to treat the cancers. It is the most sophisticated and expensive cancer treatment machines available today in the world.

It is the most sophisticated and expensive cancer treatment machines available today in the world. TRUE BEAM machine performs radiation treatments with high precision and speed. The radiation dose can be delivered with 0.3mm precision around the tumor with minimum collateral damage.
The Department of Radiotherapy is always refining radiation oncology treatment methods to deliver the highest-quality patient care possible. An unmatched range of equipment includes the latest strategies to treat tumors aggressively, while reducing the side effects.
Oncosurgery speciality was initiated in 2014. Various Oncosurgeries are being performed routinely for different cancers like- Head & Neck Cancer (Laryngeal, Lip and Oral Cavity, Nasal & Paranasal, Thyroid & Parathyroid, Salivary Gland Cancers), Breast Cancer, Gynaecological Cancer (Cervical, Ovarian, Endometrial and Vaginal Cancers), GI Cancer (Colorectal, Bile Duct, Gall Bladder, Esophagus, Liver, Pancreatic, Gastric Cancers), Genitourinary Cancer (Bladder, Kidney, Penile, Prostate and Testicular Cancers), Brain & Spinal Cord Tumors, Lung Cancer & Bone Cancer.
The institute celebrates and conducts three events annually. World cancer Day (4th Feb) felicitates the cancer patients being treated in our institute and has been survivors for more than 5 years. On ‘No Tobacco Day’ (31st May) the institute conducts various awareness programmes in the institute and outside the institute making aware the general public and the school students about the hazard of tobacco intake. National Cancer Awareness Day (7th Nov) is again celebrated with the aim of public awareness about the various aspects of preventive Oncology.
The mission of this Cancer Institute is to develop a comprehensive protocol based cancer treatment to all the patients with the support of different clinical departments especially ENT, gynecology and General Surgery.
The Institute believes “It is about focusing on the fight and not fright. Never give up, life is worth living. There is life after cancer!”
